Simply Bridal Styled Shoot This shoot was originally supposed to be shot outside, but the Pacific Northwest being what it is, we got thoroughly skunked and had to go to Plan B. (You always have to have a Plan B in the PNW!). It rained, it poured, the wind kicked up…ya know, the usual.
We started at the beautiful Volunteer Park Conservatory which was fairly packed – obviously a popular rainy day spot to go for Seattleites, and then moved downtown for some interesting architectural elements.
The dress, from Simply Bridal (go check them out for some great deals and and a huge selection!) was a classic, feminine look, and we threw on one of Silk & Willow’s lovely plant-dyed silk ribbons as an accent. Simply Bridal was so easy to work with, and the communication was always warm and prompt.
The gorgeous florals – which we decided to go a little edgy with, with the brushed metal accent – because we had intended to shoot outdoors against the city backdrop, and some very metal/concrete architectural elements are courtesy of Flowers by Shamay. (The ribbons streaming from the bouquet are also from Silk & Willow)
A huge thank you to Christy at Rainchild Stylist, who (as usual) ended up wearing a few hats (and always with grace) that day, and our lovely model Maggie!
