Privacy Policy

Hi, friend. This page explains what information Suzanne Rothmeyer Photography ("I," "me") collects when you visit suzannerothmeyer.com, what I do with it, and the choices you have. The short version: I only collect what I need to stay in touch and do great work for you, I never sell your information, and you can ask me to delete it anytime.

What I collect

  • When you join my email list or download a free guide: your first name, your email address, and, if you pick one, which "chapter" of business you're in.
  • When you fill out my contact form: your name, email address, phone number, website, how you heard about me, and anything you write in your message.
  • When you book a session: booking, contracts, invoices and payments happen through my client portal on HoneyBook, which collects the details needed for your booking. HoneyBook handles payment details; I never see or store your full card number.
  • When you browse the site: basic, anonymous visit information such as which pages are viewed, the type of device and browser, and the site that sent you here. This comes from my website host's built-in analytics and is used only to see what's working.

How I use it

  • To reply to your messages and questions.
  • To send the free guide you asked for and my newsletter (about once a month).
  • To plan, book and deliver your photo session.
  • To understand which pages are helpful so I can improve the site.

I don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. Ever.

Who helps me run things

I use a few trusted services to run my business. Each one only gets the information it needs to do its job:

  • Ghost(Pro) hosts this website and its built-in analytics.
  • Kit (formerly ConvertKit) sends my emails and stores my email list.
  • Web3Forms delivers contact form messages to my inbox.
  • HoneyBook handles bookings, contracts, invoices and payments.
  • Google Fonts supplies the fonts you see on the site.

These companies have their own privacy policies, and their servers may be outside your state or country.

Cookies and similar tools

This site uses very few. Your browser may remember that you've already seen my free-guide pop-up, so it doesn't keep showing it to you. Kit may use a quick security check (Google reCAPTCHA) on sign-up forms to keep out spam bots. I don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your email choices

Every email I send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you're off the list, no hard feelings.

Your rights

You can ask me to show you the personal information I have about you, correct it, or delete it. Just email me at info@suzannerothmeyer.com and I'll take care of it within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under your state's or country's laws, and I'll honor those requests too.

How long I keep it

I keep contact messages and client records for as long as needed to work with you and to meet tax and business record-keeping requirements. Email list details stay until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them.

Keeping it safe

The services I use protect your information with industry-standard security, including encrypted (https) connections. No system is 100% secure, but I take care to keep your information private.

Children

This site is meant for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

This site links to places like LinkedIn, Pinterest, Substack and my HoneyBook client portal. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and I'm not responsible for how they handle your information.

Changes

If I update this policy, I'll post the new version here and change the date at the top.
